TIPPECANOE VALLEY 46, PERU 38
Tippecanoe Valley got off to a 1-0 start in the Three Rivers Conference with a win on the road at Peru Tuesday.
After a slow start, the Vikings got rolling in the second quarter to tie the game at 15 at halftime and the two teams were still tied up after three, but Valley poured in 24 points in the fourth to put its hosts away. Three players scored in double figures for Valley led by Cam Parker’s 13 — including eight during the pivotal fourth period — followed by 10 points apiece from Wes Melanson and Tanner Trippiedi, who iced 6 of 6 free throws in the fourth. Jace Potter hauled in 11 rebounds for the Vikings (3-3, 1-0 TRC).
D.J. Fuller put up 10 points to lead Peru (2-4, 0-1 TRC).
Valley will play another TRC game at home versus Whitko Friday night.
TRITON 45, BETHANY CHRISTIAN 23
The Trojans scored at a better than 50 percent clip on the way to their third straight win on the road at Bethany Christian Tuesday.
Triton (4-2) turned Bethany over 18 times and capitalized with 26 points off those miscues. The visitors knocked down 9-of-15 (60 percent) of their shots in the second half, including 5 of 9 (55.6 percent) 3-pointers on the way to the win. Ashton Oviedo scored 12 points, followed closely by Tye Orsund’s 11 points with three assists and two steals, while Quentin Amsden put up nine points.
KeShawn Smith notched 14 points with five rebounds and two steals for winless Bethany (0-6).
Triton’s junior varsity also won its game, 46-23. Tyson Yates scored 10, Bruce Johnson put up nine, and Hunter McIntyre and Cole McKinney each finished with eight for the JV Trojans. Anthony Moser led Bethany’s JV with eight points.
Triton plays host to Winamac in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game Friday.
JIMTOWN 58, NORTHWOOD 52
Jimtown put up 23 points in the fourth period, and NorthWood dropped its third straight game on the road in Elkhart Tuesday.
The hosts converted 19 of 23 free throws in the win, including 11 of 12 by Austin Pearison, who finished with a game-high 27 points. Brayden Rice scored 11 points for the Jimmies (3-1).
The Panthers had three players in double figures, as Matt Dutkowski scored 13 points before fouling out, and Brock Flickinger and Ben Vincent each scored 10. Trent Edwards finished with nine for NorthWood (3-4). The Panthers will play their Northern Lakes Conference-opener at Plymouth Friday night.
NORTH MIAMI 66, LAKELAND CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 63
LCA couldn’t come all the way back from a 28-9 third period by North Miami as the Cougars lost their fifth straight on the road Tuesday.
Jake Harmon knocked down eight 3-pointers on his way to 34 points, and Landon Paris hit four treys en route to 12, while Landon Twombly scored 10 for LCA. North Miami (4-2) had even better balance, however, with four players in double figures, led by Malachi Sandunson’s 19.
The Cougars (1-6) play host Bethnay Christian in the first round of the Bethany Christian Tournament Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m.
NORTHWOOD 9TH 29, PENN 27
Down 27-23 with a little over a minute left, the NorthWood freshman boys basketball team outscored Penn 6-0, and Brady Hunsberger hit the go-ahead bucket with 3.3 seconds on the clock for the narrow win.
Hunsberger finished with 13 points and two assists, while Caden Graham scored eight with three rebounds for the Panthers. Noah Blosser finished with four points, and Jaxon Miller and Cole Davis pulled down five rebounds apiece in the win.
LAKELAND JUNIOR HIGH 42 BETHANY CHRISTIAN 35
Lakeland Junior High rallied back from a two-point deficit at halftime to beat Bethany Christian Tuesday.
Seth Martin scored a game-high 25 points for Lakeland, while Jamie Wyatt scored seven, and Will Hotchkin finished with four.
Lakeland will play Saturday at Elkhkart Christian.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 8TH 58, NORTH MIAMI 24
The Vikings’ eight grade team had two players in double figures as they more than doubled up North Miami Tuesday.
Paul Leasure scored 16, and Nolan Cumberland finished with 13 points. Tayde Kiser chipped in eight for Valley.
LAKEVIEW 8TH 42, BREMEN 17
Lakeview’s eighth grade team earned a lopsided win over Bremen Tuesday. Jaxon Gould poured in 23 points, while Tucker Curtis notched six points, and Levi Perry scored four.
WESTVIEW 8TH 41, MILFORD 17
Milford’s eighth grade boys took one on the chin opposite Westview Tuesday.
Brenden Freeman scored six points to lead Milford, while Ryden Manning chipped in four, and Jackson Davis and Jacob McKinney scored three each.
LAKEVIEW 7TH 45, BREMEN 4
Lakeview’s seventh grade moved to 12-2 by cruising to a win over Bremen. The Tigers were led by Quinten Maahs with 10 points. Isaiah Lara scored eight, and Julian Saldivar added six points and seven steals.
WESTVIEW 7TH 34, MILFORD 32
The Milford seventh grade boys suffered a narrow loss against Westview Tuesday.
Darius Lewis led Milford with 18 points, and Ty Brooks and Aidan Monds finished with six points each. Milford’s seventh grade slips to 2-4. They play Thursday at home opposite Millersburg.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 7TH 35, NORTH MIAMI 15
Valley’s seven grade moved to an even 4-4 win a win over North Miami Tuesday.
Kyler Johnson’s nine points led the Vikings in the scoring column, while Wade Jones finished with seven, and Trent Marshall scored six.

Tippecanoe Valley Middle School’s sixth grade teams both earned wins over Argos Tuesday. Blain Sheetz led Valley’s A team with eight followed by six apiece from Deondre Hamilton and Ian Cooksey, and the B team was paced by Keith Haney’s 14, Luke Tucker’s 10, and eight points each from Mel Norris and Ethan Young.
The A team moved to 6-1, and the B team stayed unbeaten at 5-0.
