KOSCIUSKO — Seward Township/Burket Fire & Rescue had a tie for their annual Fireman of the Year award. Lt. Jon Lybarger and 1st Assistant Chief Jason F. McSherry were both awarded with this year’s honor.

Lybarger has been a fireman for approximately 10 years and McSherry has been a fireman for 22 years and has been an assistant chief for two years.

“Both men are very active and the community is blessed to have brave and giving men like this,” said Fire Chief Kevin McSherry.
