WARSAW – Warsaw Community High School senior swimming standout Dineli Presteguin has signed a letter of intent, committing to swim at Bethel College in the Pilots’ first-ever swim season next year.
Presteguin has become a force in the freestyle for the Tigers, swimming the 200 free, 100 free and the 50 free for Warsaw coach Tony DeBrota’s squad, winners of back-to-back sectional titles.
A four-year varsity letterwinner, Presteguin has helped drive the current in the school and community as a volunteer for a number of efforts, serving as a worship leader, a youth council member, a lifeguard for Warsaw Community Pool, and she helps with teaching free swim lessons.
A member of the National Honor Society, Presteguin has earned Scholar Athlete designation with a 3.7 grade point average. She plans to major in English and swim for coach Deb Thompson. The Pilots compete in the Crossroads League, the NCCAA, and the NAIA.
