Boys Basketball Results: Dec. 4
TRITON 48, CAREER ACADEMY 46
Triton outscored the visiting Trailblazers 11-8 in the fourth quarter to earn a nip-tuck win at the Trojan Trench Tuesday.
Tye Orsund came up big in the outing with 16 points and three assists for Triton, while Ashton Oviedo finished with 11 points and three steals for the Trojans (2-2).
Jayllen Marshall put up 16 points, and De’Andre Coleman and James Curtis finished with nine each for Career Academy (2-4), which turned 14 offensive rebounds into 17 second chance points.
Triton scored 25 points off 19 Trailblazer turnovers at the game, which featured 12 lead changes and seven ties.
Triton’s JV won by a more remote 47-23 margin, meanwhile. Keegan Westafer scored 11, and Hunter McIntyre finished with 10 points and seven rebounds in that contest.
The Trojans play an HNAC-opener at Pioneer Friday.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 85, OREGON-DAVIS 40
Tippecanoe Valley’s offense exploded for 85 points, and the Vikings evened their record at 2-2 with a win over visiting Oregon-Davis Tuesday.
Valley outscored the Bobcats 54-17 in the second half en route to the home win.Four Vikings ended up in double figures led by Tanner Trippiedi’s 16, followed by Parkur Dalrymple’s 15, and 13 apiece from Cam Parker and Jalen Shepherd.
Valley travels to Walkerton Saturday night to play John Glenn.
BENTON HOMESCHOOL 72, LAKELAND CHRISTIAN 51
Lakeland Christian Academy dropped its third straight game at home opposite Benton HomeSchool Tuesday.
The Cougars were even up with their guests 15-15 after one and trailed just 33-27 at halftime, but a 20-9 third period put the visitors out froth 53-36.
Landon Twombly poured in 23 points with eight rebounds, while Jake Harmon finished with 19 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, and Braxton Keller scored nine with seven rebounds.
Jacob Neufer finished with a game-high 25 to lead Benton, while Collen Fervada and Conner Venight scored 13 each.
LCA plays at Portage Christian Friday night.
WAWASEE 9TH 56, ELKHART CHRISTIAN 23
Wawasee’s freshmen stayed unbeaten with a convincing 56-23 win over Elkhart Christian.
Landon Gause finished with 12, and Gavin Hunziker scored 10 for the Warriors (3-0), while Jackson Stover notched eight, and Keaton Dukes and Caden Welty scored seven apiece.
Wawasee will host Goshen Thursday.
LINCOLN 8TH 43, MILFORD 28
Milford’s eighth grade fell to Lincoln, 43-28.
Brenden Freeman scored seven points, while Jackson Davis, Ruben Vela, Jared Beer and Ryden Manning scored four points each for Milford.
LAKEVIEW 8TH 43, WAWASEE 30
Jaxson Gould poured in 30 points as Lakeview’s eighth grade beat Wawasee.
Tucker Curtis finished with seven, and Nehemiah Wright chipped in four for Lakeview. Wawasee stats were unavailable.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 8TH 35, ARGOS 23
Tippecanoe Valley’s eighth grade got its scoring done by committee in a win over Argos.
Nolan Cumberland and Tayde Kiser scored six each, Brendyn Stump finished with five, Reilley Wood and Dom Welk scored four each, and Paul Leasure and Cooper Walls finished with three points apiece for Valley in the win.
LAKEVIEW 7TH 50, WAWASEE 19
The Lakeview seventh grade boys defeated Wawasee by a lopsided score of 50-19. The Tigers were led by Isaiah Lara with 10 points and five assists, while Layton Isbell also scored 10 for Lakeview (9-1).
Wawasee results were not available.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 7TH 37, ARGOS 22
Landon Durkes put up 17, and Valley’s seventh grade downed Argos, 37-22.
Eli Love, Kyler Johnson and Wade Jones finished with four points each behind Durkes.

Valley Middle School’s sixth grade A and B teams both beat Southwood.
The Vikings A team (4-1) was led by Mel Norris with 15 points, Dallis Miller with nine, and Deondre Hamilton with eight points.
The B team (3-0) stayed unbeaten with its narrow win. Ethan Young finished with six points, Nash Miller scored four, and Oliver Trigg, Jarron Evans, Keith Haney and Colton Crabb each scored two.

MILFORD 6TH B 10, SOUTH WHITLEY 1
Milford’s sixth grade boys basketball teams split with South Whitley.
Quintin Taylor scored five points, Barrett Kelly finished with four, and Brayden Miller notched three points in the A team’s narrow loss to South Whitley.
Logan Jump, Fred Valle, Trevon Pena, Gavin Wiggs and Jaydon Brown all scored two apiece in the B team’s balanced win.
