WCHS To Feature Work Of South Bend Artist
WARSAW — The work of a South Bend-based artist is on display in Warsaw Community High School through the end of January 2019.
Ramiro Rodriguez is a well-known artist, whose work is featured in exhibits around the world and in private collections. He graduated from the Kendall College of Art and Design and received a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.
“My current work deals with relationships that inform my world,” said Rodriguez. “My evolving role as a son, brother, husband, parent, and community member inspires my work. Observations, hopes, fears, dreams and questions are presented in the graphic lines of linoleum or woodblock relief prints.”
Rodriguez said his work is about his life and struggles, whether it was his childhood growing up in a large Mexican family in a rural community, or about his current struggles and joys being a middle-aged parent.
