Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, North SR 15, north of Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Driver: Frederick J. Sumpter, 61, East CR 300N, Warsaw. Sumpter was traveling north on SR 15 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
4:28 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, East Old Road 30, east of South CR 250E, Warsaw. Drivers: Brody J. Evans, 17, SR 331, Tippecanoe; and Gregory S. Cosner, 59, West Orange Street, Cromwell. Evans was traveling east on Old Road 30 when he thought an upcoming driveway was a road. When he realized it was not a road, Evans’ vehicle turned back to the right, colliding with Cosner’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:58 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, SR 13, south of Crystal Flash Road, North Webster. Drivers: Neale R. Habegger, 69, East North Road, Syracuse; and Cody J. Patterson, 32, North Ward Lane, North Webster. Habegger was traveling south on SR 13 when he entered the right lane to make a right turn. He didn’t notice Patterson’s vehicle, causing a collision. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, South Huntington Street, north of East Baltimore Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Kenny L. Nesmith, 36, East Henry Street, Syracuse; and Robert J. Lundquist, 62, South Old SR 15, Wabash. Nesmith was traveling on East Baltimore Street when he turned and struck Lundquist’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
10:07 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 1011 N. Indiana Ave., Syracuse. Drivers: Jessica A. Hites, 37, US Highway 6, Syracuse; and Richard W. Melcher, 65, East Cherokee Road, Syracuse. Hites was backing out of a parking spot when she struck Melcher’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:37 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, SR 15, south of West Prairie Street, Warsaw. Driver: Arissa A. Caudill, 24, Rosemont Avenue, Warsaw. A witness to the accident said he was pumping gas when he noticed Caudill’s vehicle traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. Caudill’s vehicle appeared to lose control, possibly hydroplaning. Caudill’s vehicle came to rest right side up on its wheels. The vehicle then drove out of the grass and into the parking lot of the gas station. Caudill said she did not remember anything from the crash. There was property damage at the crash scene, including a yard and bushes at 644 S. Buffalo St., and a retaining type wall and signage at 530 S. Buffalo St. Damage up to $10,000.
6:47 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, North Harrison Street, near East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Paula J. Scholl, 58, South Raspberry Court, Warsaw; and Joe L. Sanchez, 48, West Wabash Street 2, Converse. Scholl was traveling west on East Center Street when she rear-ended Sanchez’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, East US 30, west of North CR 150W, Warsaw. Driver: Kelsie Cavanaugh, 20, Coriander Lane, Frankfort, Ill. Cavanaugh was traveling west on US 30 when deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
9:38 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, US 30, west of Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Renee L. Kazanecki, 60, Walnut Street, Plymouth; and William R. Moore, 38, Hepler Drive, Warsaw. Kazanecki was traveling east in the left lane of US 30 when she rear-ended Moore’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, Jalynn Street, north of Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Brian L. Skiver, 59, West South County Line Road, Sand Lake, Mich.; and Randee R. Robison, 68, Administration Boulevard, Winona Lake. Skiver was traveling south on Walton Boulevard when he began to make a left turn while attempting to keep sight of a horse and buggy. As he made his turn, Skiver did not see Robison’s vehicle, which was stopped in the left turn lane, at which time Skiver’s vehicle struck Robison’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
