Fort Wayne Man Arrested For Check Fraud
KOSCIUSKO — A Fort Wayne man was arrested after writing a $6,000 check that was returned for non-sufficient funds.
Jeremiah Donald Lowe, 35, 10333 Monticello Blvd., Fort Wayne, is being charged with check fraud, a level 6 felony.
On Oct. 8, a male subject said a check written to him in the amount of $6,000 and signed by Lowe was returned for non-sufficient funds.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office sent a letter to Lowe’s home address. The letter advised Lowe that his check had not been satisfied and to remit sufficient fees to the prosecutor’s office to satisfy the non-sufficient check and service fees.
As of Oct. 25, the check had not been satisfied. The male subject said Lowe personally gave him the check.
Lowe was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 15, with an $11,000 surety and cash bond.
