NorthWood Leads The Way In All-NLC Football
GOSHEN – The NorthWood Panthers ran the table in the Northern Lakes Conference for the 2018 football season, and were rewarded with a healthy amount of selections of All-NLC awards.
The 7-0 Panthers had Coach of the Year Nate Andrews guide First Team selections Nic Bontrager, Jake Lone, Veshon Malone, Braden Mikel, Jaden Miller, Nate Newcomer and Bronson Yoder. Garrett Anglemyer, Jason Borkholder and Zach Miller were all named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Warsaw and Plymouth finished 5-2 and runners-up in the league. The Tigers had John Culbertson, Braxton DeFord, Blake Marsh, Harrison Mevis, Matt Shoemaker and Josh West as All-NLC and Wyatt Amiss, Brock Hueber and Logan Johnson as Honorable Mention All-NLC. The Rockies had Blake Davis, Jackson Lee, Brayson Leazenby, Blake Reed and Seth Rundell as All-NLC and Joe Barron, Jacob Deacon, Cole Filson and Garrett Schrameyer as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Concord (4-3) had Cameron Lain, Roemello Moon, Carter Neveraski and Max Welch as All-NLC and Jacob Beckwith and Ariel DeLaPaz as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Memorial and Northridge were both 3-4 in the NLC. Memorial had Juanyae Hudson, Clayton Lundy and Derrick Woods and the Raiders with Julius Graber and Reece Lueking as All-NLC. Honorable Mentions went to Javon Forester of Memorial and Austin Floria of Northridge.
Wawasee (1-6) had Evan Eshbach, Dylan Hepler and Brayden Johnson as All-NLC and Keyan Peete as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Goshen (0-7) had Drew Marlow and Daveyon Sandford as All-NLC and Brandon Chavez and Bryant Grewe as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
