Police Find Abandoned U-Haul In Empty Las Vegas Pool
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is on the scene of an unusual incident.
It happened on Wednesday morning in the backyard of a home.
At 8:50 a.m., police received a request that officers be on scene to keep the peace as a crane was brought on scene to remove a U-Haul truck from an empty pool.
The driver of the U-Haul said he was pulling the truck into the yard to load up the truck, but accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, sending the vehicle careening into the pool.
The U-Haul stayed in the pool until the crane successfully removed it at around 11:15 a.m.
The tow truck driver reportedly did not believe the story, and asked the driver to send a picture of the incident before he agreed to respond to the scene.
Removing the truck from the pool cost the driver an estimated $3,000.
No injuries have been reported.
