Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:06 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, North SR 19, north of West CR 1050N, Nappanee. Driver: Donna L. Marshall, 59, South B Street, Elwood. Marshall told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on SR 19 behind a horse-drawn buggy. She stated that the vehicle behind her passed by her vehicle and the buggy. She said she thought it was clear to pass the buggy, but that when she began to pass, the horse turned into her vehicle. Marshall’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene and the driver of the buggy reported the horse was lame from the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
3:04 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, North SR 15 and West 600N, Leesburg. Drivers: Ryan M. Powers, 36, South CR 600E, North Manchester; Cristobal Flores, 32, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Witnesses told police that the vehicle driven by Powers did not appear to slow down and collided with the vehicle driven by Flores as both drivers were driving their vehicles southbound on SR 15. Both drivers were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash. Powers complained of neck pain and Flores complained of pain in the back. Damage up to $25,000.
1:38 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, North CR 300E, north of East CR 200N, Warsaw. Driver: Howard H. Alderfer, 81, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Alderfer was traveling north on CR 300E when a deer ran into the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
7:08 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, North SR 15, south of West CR 600N, Warsaw. Drivers: Parker A. Snider, 28, CR 23, New Paris; Jeremiah J. Nobles, 39, Carrington Boulevard, Warsaw. Nobles said he was driving his vehicle on SR 15 and did not see the vehicle driven by Snider, causing Nobles’ vehicle to collide with the rear of Snider’s vehicle. Snider complained of right arm pain and was transported by EMS to Parkview Warsaw Hospital. Damage up to $10,000.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:13 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, East US 30, east of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Amanda A. Martinez, 24, Moeller Road, Fort Wayne; Patrick L. Glock, 48, EMS T3C Lane, Leesburg. Martinez told police she was driving her vehicle eastbound on US 30 and was approaching Anchorage Road. She said she did not realize that the vehicle driven by Glock had stopped in the roadway, causing her vehicle to collide with the rear of Glock’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
9:31 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, East Market Street, east of South Maple Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: David Villa, 26, Oldfather Street, Warsaw; Jamie C. Hunt, 42, East Arthur Street, Warsaw. Villa told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on Market Street, following the vehicle driven by Hunt. He told police Hunt’s vehicle began to slow down, sped back up and then stopped suddenly. He said he was not able to stop his vehicle in time to avoid a rear end collision with Hunt’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
8:29 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, East Lake Tahoe Trail, Warsaw. Driver: Michael G. McGuire, 53, East Lake Tahoe Trail, Warsaw. Police reported that surveillance video showed McGuire driving his vehicle northbound on East Lake Tahoe Trail, leaving the roadway and striking a mail box. Police said McGuire left the scene, but was found in his driveway behind the wheel of his vehicle. Police said McGuire refused to be tested for intoxication. Damage up to $1,000.
2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, SR 15 and West CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: James L. Gill, 60, West Horseshoe Bend Road, Brookston; and Stephen M. Nast, 25, East CR 225S, Winona Lake. Gill’s vehicle rear-ended Nast’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
2:05 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, South Lincoln Street and East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Darrell W. Ooley, 42, East Washington Street, Syracuse; Cecil Clem, 56, Green Hill Drive, Warsaw. Ooley told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound in the parking lot of Dalton Foundry, preparing to turn on to Lincoln Street and did not see the vehicle driven southbound on Lincoln Street by Clem, causing the vehicles to collide. Damage up to $2,500.
