Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:31 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, SR 13 and East CR 500N, North Webster. Driver: Brenda Pruitt, 65, South Main Street, Topeka. An unknown vehicle rear-ended Pruitt’s vehicle while stopped at a traffic light. The unknown vehicle left the scene. Damages up to $2,500.
12:39 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, CR 700N, west of CR 200E, Leesburg. Driver: Stefan King, 38, EMS T34C Lane, Leesburg. King’s vehicle was pulling a small utility trailer. A wheel of the trailer dropped off the right side of the road, causing the vehicle to slide off the roadway. The vehicle struck a communication pole and junction box. Damages up to $10,000.
8:06 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, CR 750W, north of CR 650N, Leesburg. Driver: Malena Kaufman, 44, CR 750W, Etna Green. Kaufman’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, Goodison and Cranbrook Drive, North Webster. Driver: Larry Simmons, 79, EMS T7A Lane, Leesburg. Simmons backed up his vehicle and struck the passenger door of an unoccupied vehicle registered to Bette Lee, Winona Lake. Damages up to $5,000.
