Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:43 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, West Pickwick Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Martin W. Newcomb, 69, North Koher Road, Syracuse. Newcomb told police he was pulling his vehicle into a parking space and heard a bump and did not know what he had hit until he got out of his vehicle and saw a person lying on the ground. Warren L. Bess, North Warner Road, Syracuse, complained of pain to his lower leg and foot and was transported by EMS to the hospital. Damage less than $750.
Winona Lake
Officers from the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:13 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, CR 200S, north of West US 30, Pierceton. Driver: Juan M. Rodriguez 21, Husky Trail, Warsaw. Rodriguez told police he was turning his vehicle from eastbound US 30 onto CR 200S when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a privately-owned fence. Damage up to $2,500.
