Warsaw Man Arrested Following Family Fight
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested following a family fight were the participants lashed out at officers responding to the scene.
Javier Juarez, 19, 920 Anchorage Road, Warsaw, is charged with battery to law enforcement, a level 6 felony; resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor; and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, a class C misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers responded to a family fight in Warsaw on Sunday, Oct. 28. Police apprehended Juarez and were escorting him when he twisted, turned and used his knee to strike one of the officers. Police had to pick Juarez up and carry him to the squad car. At Kosciusko Community Hospital, hospital staff told police the blood alcohol count for Juarez was tested at .275.
Officers reported they were also engaged with several female minors at the scene, who also cursed at police and attempted to fight officers. Police reported that an adult at the scene told officers she was aware that the three individuals were drinking, but that she did not furnish the alcohol.
