UPDATE — Injured Child From School Bus Accident In Stable Condition
FULTON COUNTY — The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School student who was injured in the school bus accident that occurred yesterday, Oct. 30, is in stable condition.
Maverik Lowe, 11, was flown, via Samaritan Helicopter, to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. There he had surgery due to multiple broken bones and internal injuries.
Lowe’s parents have released the following statement, “We would like to thank those who have prayed for our family and the families of those involved in yesterday’s tragedy. Maverik is currently in stable condition. Our family is focused on his recovery at this time and requests privacy as we heal together.”
Sgt. Tony Slocum with the Indiana State Police noted, “This is a public event but a private and personal family matter to them.”
A GoFundMe account has been set up for Lowe, with $18,087 raised so far.
