Michael Lee Vinson Sr.
Michael Lee Vinson, Sr., 64 and a resident of Huntington, formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 2:16 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born Sept. 30, 1954, in Wabash, he was the son of Omer Vinson, Sr. and Peggy Ann (Culver) Vinson. He was a 1974 graduate of Wabash High School. On Sept. 24, 1982, he was married to the former Helen “Jean” Bowen who preceded him in passing on March 16, 1997.
An honorably discharged veteran of the US Army National Guard, Mr. Vinson enjoyed playing cards and fishing. He was known for his kind, helpful personality.
Left behind is a host of friends and family including son, Michael Vinson, Jr., Mitchell; brothers: LeRoy (Heather) Vinson, Rotunda West, Fla.; Omer (Jaime) Vinson, Jr., Fort Wayne; and Kenneth Vinson, Wabash; sister, Kathy White, Wabash; and step-mother, Peggy Vinson, Wabash. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Kyra, Kaylin and Kylie Vinson – all of Bedford. He was preceded in passing by his father, mother and wife.
Friends may join family for a graveside service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Military honors will be officiated by members of American Legion Post 49 and VFW 1126. Online condolences may be sent at www.TitusFuneralHome.com
