Bell Library To Host Halloween-Related Events
MENTONE — Bell Memorial Public Library has announced its week’s events.
The library invites patrons to join its staff for Story Hour every Friday at 10 a.m. During Story Hour, children listen to a story, sing songs and make a craft.
On Sunday, Oct. 28, the library will host Creepy Cookie Decorating, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
The library will host a Halloween Party on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The party is open for kids and teens up to age 18. The event will include pizza, a drink and cookies. Activities include playing Halloween Bingo and making glow-in-the-dark slime. Registration is required by Monday, Oct. 29. The library will also participate in trick or treat on Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The library’s services include Hoopla, a digital media service that allows patrons to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on computers, tablets, or phones. With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. Titles cannot be downloaded to computers. Staff members at Bell Memorial Public Library are available to provide information on how to get started.
For fitness lovers, the library features Zumba and Yoga every Wednesday evening. Zumba begins at 5:30 p.m. and Yoga begins at 6:45 p.m. For more information, contact Eva Mudd at (574) 253-5593 or [email protected]. Patrons can join her Facebook group Eva’s Zumba and Yoga Community Classes.
For patrons with no internet access at home, the library help. The Bell Memorial Library is circulating an internet hotspot. These devices are about the size of a large cell phone and connect the user to the internet via cell phone towers. The device will circulate for a week and units can be reserved.
