Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:21 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, East Palm Drive, west of South Lakeside Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Penny A. Bennett, 67, East Northside Drive, Syracuse. Bennett told police she was driving her vehicle and paying attention to her GPS when she realized she was not on the correct road. She said she made a turn and hit a wooden barrier that she had not seen prior to the collision. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, Lake City Highway, east of East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Charles E. Johnston, 75, Gardendale Avenue, Huntington; Hazim Elsayed Ibrahim, 45, Thoroughbred Drive, Fort Wayne. Johnston told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on Lake City Highway and that he had brought his vehicle to a stop behind Elsayed Ibrahim. He said when the vehicle in front of him began moving forward, he began to drive forward as well, but that his attention was diverted and when Elsayed Ibrahim’s vehicle stopped again, his vehicle collided with the rear of Elsayed Ibrahim’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
7:36 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, SR 15 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Stephanie I. Fisher, 47, South CR 900W, Claypool. Fisher told police she was driving her vehicle southbound on North Detroit Street when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
