Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:12 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, East CR 400N, east of North SR 13, North Webster. Driver: Reece E. Henry, 36, North CR 925E, North Webster. Henry’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, East Old Road 30, east of North CR 300E, Warsaw. Driver: Sherrelee G. Diecks, 64, Timberline Circle, Warsaw. Diecks’ vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
2:53 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, West CR 500N and North CR 300W, Warsaw. Driver: Vera L. Zartman, 55, North Southwinds Trail, Warsaw. Zartman advised that she was driving on CR 500N when she realized she had forgotten something at her residence and needed to turn around. She stated she saw a semi truck in the distance but thought she had enough time to turn around. She advised she pulled onto a dirt road and backed into the intersection to go west on CR 500N. Zartman stated that the semi then side-swiped the left rear of her vehicle. She stated she drove back to her residence and noticed the damage to her vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
3:08 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, Logan Street and Eagle Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Trevor C. Rumple, 18, Belmont Drive, Warsaw; and Armando Munguia, 18, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Rumple’s vehicle rear-ended Munguia’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:46 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, East Old Road 30 and South CR 250E, Warsaw. Driver: Mark D. Dunn, 63, East 22nd Street, Muncie. Dunn’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, West Rozella Road, west of Logan Street, Warsaw. Driver: Lindsay N. Jackson, 28, East Main Street, Silver Lake. Jackson contacted the Silver Lake Police Department on Oct. 24 stating that her vehicle struck a deer on Oct. 23. Damage up to $2,500.
5:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, SR 15, south of CR 1300S, Silver Lake. Driver: Anthony Collins, 21, Discoe East 16S, Silver Lake. Collins was reportedly southbound on SR 15 when he became distracted by his radio. His vehicle crossed the center line. He then overcorrected, resulting in his vehicle going down an embankment and through a fence. Damage up to $10,000.
