Leesburg Man Faces Charges After Allegedly Stealing Guns, Land Rover
LEESBURG — A Leesburg man is facing charges after allegedly stealing guns and a vehicle.
Adrian Crabb, 19, 155 EMS B43 Lane, Leesburg, is being charged with auto theft and two counts of theft of a firearm, all level 6 felonies.
On Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, a Michigan State police officer advised that he had Crabb and another male, Kaleb Perry, in custody. The officer stated that Crabb and Perry were found in possession of a 2011 Land Rover that was possibly stolen from the Leesburg area. A Cobra CA380 handgun and a Sig Sauer P220 handgun were also found in the vehicle. The officer advised he believed both guns were possibly stolen out of Indiana.
An officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department then spoke with a male and female who reside at the address where Crabb said the vehicle came from. It was determined that both the guns and the Land Rover were missing. The female stated she left the keys for her Land Rover with her father and told him no one was to use it. Her father stated he hid the keys to the Land Rover in a nightstand to keep Crabb from finding them.
The male and female stated they did not give Crabb or Perry permission to take possession of the handguns. The male said the handguns were stored in a dresser drawer located in his bedroom. The male further advised that Crabb and Perry were at his house until 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 28 and that both left the residence stating they were going out to get something to eat.
Crabb was arrested on a warrant and booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 18, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
