Marjorie M. Martin
Marjorie M. Martin, 95, most recently of Macy, passed away at 9:08 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at the Life Care Center in Rochester.
Mrs. Martin was born in Marshall County on Feb. 5, 1923, to Charles M. and Charlotte (Price) Redman. She graduated from LaPaz High School with the class of 1942.
On July 2, 1950, in Ellicottville, New York, she married John W. Martin. He would proceed her in death on Dec. 29, 1992.
She worked for United Technologies in the Hand and Bench Department as a welder for 22 years before her retirement in 1988.
She most recently attended the First United Church of Christ in Plymouth. She enjoyed flowers, watching her shows on TV and watching Notre Dame and the Colt’s play with Allan. She loved being around her children and their families.
She is survived by her son, Bruce A. Martin, North Carolina; son-in-law, Allan Schaeffner, Rochester; grandchildren: Frederic Schaeffner, Rochester; and Marjorie Saylor: great grandchildren: Hana Schaeffner and Kathy Saylor, Austin, Texas; step-granchildren: Paul and Robert Schaeffner and Susie Elchert; 12 step grandchildren and four step-great-great grandchildren; and sister, Natalie Nunemaker, Bremen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Greg Martin, daughter, Kathy Schaeffner, four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jason Rice officiating.
Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery.
