Marcella Jean Mock
Marcella Jean Mock, 89, Anderson, and formerly of Maryland and Warsaw, passed away at 9:05 a.m., Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. She was born Jan. 10, 1929, to Boyd and Carrie (Bevin) Garland in Cumberland, Md.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth Mock on Nov. 15, 1954, in Sweetwater Texas.
Moving from Maryland in 1982 to Warsaw, she worked at Kosciusko Community Hospital for a few years as a Laboratory Clerk, then in 2001 she moved to Anderson. She returned to this area to be with her family.
She enjoyed playing the piano along with singing, reading, crossword and word search puzzles.
Mrs. Mock is survived by her daughters, Faith (David) Breece, Anderson; Brenda Thomas, Warsaw; and Myra (Kevin) Mast, Pierceton; a sister, Virginia Shank, Cumberland; grandchildren: Kari (Jay) Hicks, Bryan (Shanna) Thomas, David Sainer, all three of Warsaw; Jared (Emma) Sainer, Winona Lake; Eric Thomas, Warsaw; Stephanie Campbell, Pierceton; and Dillon Thomas, Warsaw; great grandchildren: Kaleb, Karsen and Kaliope Green, Brock Shipley-Sainer, Ashlynn and Lucas Sainer and Griffin Rose; great-great grandson, Owen Green. She is preceded by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Baughman officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
