Terry L. Mauzy
Terry L. Mauzy, 71, Warsaw, passed away at 6:40 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, in Glenbrook Rehab and Skilled Nursing Home, Fort Wayne, where he had resided since May 17, 2014. He was born Aug. 9, 1947, in Warsaw, to Leonard and Katherine (Eppley) Mauzy.
He faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1968 in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam; and 1968 to 1970 in Karlsruhe, Germany and was honorably discharged, rank of E5. Mr. Mauzy was united in marriage to Maureen K. Reiff Aug. 10, 1968, at the Dutchtown Brethren Church by Rev. George Pontius. He retired from R.R. Donnelly & Sons after 17 years of service as a material expeditor. He was a member of the Warsaw First United Methodist Church, former member of the Chesterton First United Methodist Church and Warsaw Trinity United Methodist Church where he sang first tenor in the Chancel Choir for 30 years. In addition, he was a member of American Legion Post #49, Warsaw.
Terry Mauzy is survived by his wife of fifty years, Maureen K. Mauzy, Warsaw; brothers: Leonard E. Mauzy, Fort Wayne and Larry D. Mauzy, Tulsa, Okla.; 28 nieces and nephews, 50 great-nieces and nephews and 30 great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, John Weimer, nephew David Mauzy, sister L. Lorene Weimer, sister-in-law Norma (Weimer) Mauzy, and nephew Douglas (Duke) Mauzy.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 2-8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, in Warsaw First United Methodist Church, 179 S. Indiana St., Warsaw, with the Rev. Brian R. Smith and the Rev. Dr. Chris Newman Jacobs officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
