Ranch Road Closure Planned For Monday And Tuesday For Railroad Crossing Work
WARSAW — The City of Warsaw Public Works Department is planning to close the Ranch Road railroad crossing on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 15 and 16, contingent on weather.
Lane restrictions are also expected on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
City crews will tear out, reform, and re-pour new curbing. This work is in anticipation of Norfolk Southern contractors repaving the crossing in the near future.
Motorists should plan accordingly and use alternate routes, including County Road 200S.
The Ranch Road crossing has historically experienced many structural problems. The City and Norfolk Southern are working together to mitigate future recurring problems by doing more extensive work on this crossing following the rail replacement project earlier this year.
Norfolk Southern is currently securing a contractor to repave the crossing. More specific dates and information about repaving will be shared when provided to the city.
