Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:49 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, South SR 25, south of South Bruner Road, Warsaw. Driver: Bradly W. Shepard, 37, East SR 14, Athens. Shepard was traveling south on SR 25 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
7:41 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, North SR 15, south of West School Street, Leesburg. Drivers: Stanley E. Killian, 82, Michele Drive, Milford; and Joaquin N. Servin, 40, West Catherine Street, Milford. Servin’s vehicle was stopped in traffic to turn left when Killian’s vehicle rear-ended him. Killian complained of chest pain and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital by Lutheran EMS. Damage up to $10,000.
1:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 8284 S. Packerton Road, Claypool. Driver: Bobby G. Baldridge, 68, Church Street, Claypool. Baldridge was traveling south on Packerton Road when there was another northbound vehicle in his lane of travel. Baldridge’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a fence. Damage up to $5,000.
7:07 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, North CR 300W, south of West CR 500N, Warsaw. Driver: Megan L. Dawson, 17, North Bobwhite Drive, Warsaw. Dawson was traveling south on CR 300W when she struck a two axle trailer being pulled by a Ford F150 owned by Millwood Roofing and Construction. There was no damage to the F150. Damage up to $10,000.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 408 E. Sycamore St., Silver Lake. Driver: Ellen J. Thomas, 80, P.O. Box 263, Silver Lake. Thomas was pulling her vehicle into a private drive when her accelerator stuck, causing her to strike a fence, yard ornaments, and the southwest side of a residence. Thomas complained of back and stomach pain and was transported by Lutheran EMS. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:32 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, East Center Street, near North Zoe Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Steven G. Conrad, 54, North Finlandia Way, Albion; and Charity L. Cordill, 36, West Church Street, Leesburg. Conrad was traveling south on Zoe Street when he attempted to turn left. Conrad’s vehicle pulled into Cordill’s lane of travel. Conrad’s vehicle sustained damage to the driver’s side front corner. Damage up to $10,000.
4:42 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2858 Frontage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Mark J. Bowman, 53, East CR 225S, Warsaw; and David R. Hoagland, 51, South CR 675W, Warsaw. Bowman was traveling east through a parking lot when he struck Hoagland’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
1:56 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 415 N. Washington St., west of North Pike Street, Warsaw. Driver: Steven M. Wilcoxson, 64, South CR 700E, Pierceton. Wilcoxson was backing into a private drive when he lost consciousness. His vehicle struck and became partially lodged in the residence at 415 N. Washington St. Metal siding on the residence at 419 N. Washington St. was also damaged. Damage up to $10,000.
1:27 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, Washington Street, south of Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael E. Scott, 61, EMS T25 Lane, Leesburg; and John E. Hand, 88, North Bayberry Court, Warsaw. Scott was attempting to pull out of a parking spot when he sideswiped Hand’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, Lake City Highway, east of Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Mayra N. Juarez Munoz, 30, East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Juarez Munoz was traveling east on US 30 when a semi started to merge lanes. This caused her to swerve and leave the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
9:53 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, Crystal Lake Road, west of Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Julio A. Fernandez Hidalgo, 33, Palermo Avenue 108, Coral Gables, Fla.; and Maggie England, 73, West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. Fernandez Hidalgo was backing his vehicle when he backed into England’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
9:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 1609 Fisher Ave., Warsaw. Driver: Braxton J. Foreman, 16, West Center Street, Warsaw. Foreman was backing in a private drive when he struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
2:53 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, SR 15 and East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeffrey Dormire, 60, High Street, Etna Green; and Anthony Hyden, 67, Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Dormire admitted he looked down momentarily and when he looked up traffic in front of his vehicle was stopped. Dormire’s vehicle rear-ended Hyden’s vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
1:04 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2495 Jalynn St., Warsaw. Drivers: Jacqueline K. Bettinger, 66, South Union Street, Warsaw; and Spencer A. Doty, 57, West CR 300N, Etna Green. Bettinger was pulling out onto an access road when she rear-ended Doty’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
