Sally Ellen DeVon
Sally Ellen DeVon, 79, Leesburg, passed away at 3:55 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw. She was born on March 26, 1939, in Mishawaka to Robert D. and Rowena (Mock) White.
She graduated from Mishawaka High School and attended nursing school. She grew up in Mishawaka and lived most of her life in the North Webster and Leesburg area. She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse and formerly worked at Kosciusko Community Hospital and Mason Health & Rehab both in Warsaw.
She was an avid bingo player at the North Webster American Legion.
She is survived by three daughters: Debbie (Ken Kirkpatrick) Colley, Leesburg; Sharon (Bill King) Boren, North Webster; Gail (Jack) Millan, Farmer City, Ill.; son: Kenneth Boren, South Bend; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two sisters: Sharon (Robert) Morgan, Edwardsburg, Mich.; Suzanne McCumber, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Michael Boren, grandson: Tony Heathcote, and brother: Robert White.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13, and CR 500N, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Byron Kaiser of the North Webster United Methodist Church officiating.
