Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
12:07 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, North CR 700E, and East CR 400N, North Webster. Driver: Cynthia Frederick, 58, EMS B59 Lane, Warsaw. Frederick stated she was unable to stop at a stop sign due to wet pavement. Her vehicle struck the stop sign and a utility pole. Damages up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:14 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, West CR 300N and Sheldon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Gavin Gunder, 17, Lantern Road, Warsaw; and Kimberly Zartman, 60, EMS C28 Lane, Warsaw. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. It was determined that Zartman had the right-of-way. Damages up to $10,000.
3:24 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 1801 E. Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Charles Wright, 67, Packerton Road, Winona Lake. Matthew Miller, 32, Claypool, was lying underneath his vehicle to check on something. While under the vehicle, his legs were underneath Wright’s vehicle. Wright did not notice that Miller’s legs were under his vehicle and began to back up. Miller was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for pain to his left leg and ankle. Damages under $750.
7:58 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, South SR 15, north of Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Alison C. White, 17, East CR 100S, Marion; Kayla J. Leininger, 35, West CR 1000S, Akron. White told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on SR 15 north of the intersection with Fisher Avenue when the vehicle driven by Leininger stopped suddenly. She said that due to wet road conditions, she was unable to stop her vehicle in time to avoid a rear-end collision. Damage up to $5,000
