Volleyball Results: Oct. 2
WEST NOBLE 3, WAWASEE 0
In what would amount to a sectional championship matchup if the two would meet again, West Noble sent a message about the first meeting in a 25-13, 25-10, 25-11 romp of the Warriors in Syracuse.
Stats were obviously light for the Lady Warriors in the blowout, with Elizabeth Kleopfer notching eight digs and seven assists. Brooke Heche also had eight digs and Peyton Rookstool had five digs. Molly Jones, Janae Hapner and Hannah Gaerte combined for five blocks.
West Noble clipped Wawasee in the JV game in a wild 23-25, 26-24, 15-13 final. Delaney Hare and Morgan Heche combined for 27 digs while Corin Nyce and Kai Jamora added a total of 23 assists for the Lady Warriors.
Wawasee won the freshman game by a 25-19, 25-23 count over the Chargers. Laney Gross had a monster game for Wawasee with 10 assists, nine digs, three aces, three kills and a solo block.
Wawasee (14-16) will conclude its regular season Thursday at NorthWood.
TRITON 3, CASTON 0
With a week to go before the curtain raises on the sectional, Triton added a nice win to its campaign with a 25-18, 25-19, 25-14 mark on Caston.
Triton was remarkable at the net, with Abbey Viers and Madeline Doll each recording four solo blocks while Viers and Jaela Faulkner combined for 16 kills. Faulkner also had eight digs and three aces, Emma Hepler added 25 assists and seven digs, and Lexia Hostrawser chipped in five aces.
Triton defeated Caston in the JV contest by a 19-25, 25-9, 15-8 count.
Triton (6-22) will wrap up its regular season Thursday with a matchup against its sectional opponent, South Central.
