Sue Ann Beattie
Sue Ann Beattie, 85, died Sept. 16, 2018, in Port Charlotte, Fla.
She was born March 28, 1933, to Clara Genevieve McGown Mikels and Russell Mikels. Both are deceased.
She was the widow of Leroy A. Crownover and William E. Beattie.
In 1945 the Crownover Jewelry store was established in Warsaw by Sue Ann’s husband, Leroy A. Crownover. After his death in 1969, Sue Ann continued the business until her retirement in 1985.
After retirement, Sue Ann and her husband, William E. Beattie, moved to Fort Myers, Fla.
She is survived by a brother, Michael D. Mikels, Lighthouse Point, Fla.; three nieces: Rebecca Tippy Abrams (Howard), Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Debra Ann Shepherd Foust (Steve), Summerfield, Fla.; and Abigail Tippy Bell, Kokomo; a sister-in-law, Frances Bixler, Riverside, Calif.; and a special friend, Renee Silveus Tripp, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Claretta Mikels Shepherd and Nola Jane Mikels Tippy; and a niece, Sharon Darst.
After cremation, private graveside services will be conducted in Oakwood Cemetery.
