Jim Molebash To Retire After 42 Years With Boy Scouts Of America
KOSCIUSKO — After an illustrious career spanning over four decades, Jim Molebash will retire from the Anthony Wayne Area Council – Boy Scouts of America on Sept. 29, after 42 years of professional services.
He currently serves as Assistant Scout Executive of Anthony Wayne Area Council, Fort Wayne. Molebash’s career began as Associate District Executive in Thunderbird District, Fort Wayne, in April 1976, then later in the year was promoted to District Executive of Limberlost District. He served the Kosciusko County District from 1977 to 2002, at which time he became Field Director. In 2016, he was promoted to Assistant Scout Executive.
As a youth, he joined the Scouting program as a Cub Scout. He achieved Eagle Scout rank as a Boy Scout in Warsaw Troop 119. He was Papakitchie Lodge Chief for Order of the Arrow, BSA Honor Society. He is a lifelong resident of Warsaw and is involved in many local service organizations.
The public is invited to attend his retirement celebration beginning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic church, 315 S. Line St., Columbia City.
To honor his Scouting career, gifts received will go to EC50 Matching Grant to ensure youth in the area are served for many generations to come.
