Adoption Fundraiser Hires Executive Director
WARSAW — Raise the Dough, Inc. is excited to announce the hiring of Katie Jacobson as its new executive director. Jacobson joins the grassroots adoption fundraising team after spending two years at Heartline Pregnancy Center where she served as a marketing event coordinator and client advocate. Jacobson’s passion for the pro-life cause, her heart for others and her administrative gifts make her a wonderful addition to this growing organization.
Raise the Dough, Inc. Founder and Chairman of the Board Tobias Forshtay commented, “We are delighted to welcome Katie to the team. Raise the Dough, Inc. began in 2015 to help a couple fund their adoption. Since then we have partnered with 16 couples, witnessed 11 successful adoptions and received quite an inflow of support requests this year. As I consider all that has been accomplished in the early years of our nonprofit without any staff members, we are thrilled to consider what the future holds for this organization under Katie’s watch. She could not have come at a better time.”
Jacobson is a Grace College alumna, having earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in youth ministry in 2013. Following her undergraduate studies, Jacobson earned her master’s in higher education in 2016.
“Katie is a natural educator and an advocate for others. These skills will help serve the families who are contemplating an adoption journey, considering alternative funding opportunities and seeking to live out the mission of the organization,” said Forshtay.
Raise the Dough, Inc. is on mission to raise funds for adoption because no child should be without a parent.
