On Sept. 6, 2017, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary in Kosciusko County. The homeowner advised that an unknown subject had broken the back window of his unattached garage. The subject stole a flatscreen television, tools, a revolver, ammunition, $100 worth of rolled coins, medication and a checkbook.
The officer was able to collect fingerprints left by the burglar from the broken window. The officer also collected a Styrofoam cup and a cigarette at the scene that did not belong to the homeowner. The fingerprints were sent to the Indiana State Police Laboratory for identification.
