Bell Library Announces Week’s Programs
MENTONE — Bell Memorial Public Library is having a book sale in its main lobby. Single titles are $.10 each or 15 books for $1.
Story Hour is held at 10 a.m. every Friday. During this event, children listen to a story, sing songs and make a craft.
During Kids & Teens Craft Day at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, participants will make a washer necklace.
For crafters, Creative Corner meets from 5 to 7 p.m.Thursday, Sept. 20. Participants will make a fall sign using wood pieces and coordinating cardstock. Cost of this class is $6 and sign-up is requested. Creative Corner is for adults only, age 18 and older.
The Euchre club meets at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24.
The library board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24. Meetings are open to the public.
The library’s services include Hoopla, a digital media service that allows patrons to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on computers, tablets, or phones. With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. Titles cannot be downloaded to computers. Staff members at Bell Memorial Public Library are available to provide information on how to get started.
For fitness lovers, the library features Zumba and Yoga every Wednesday evening. Zumba begins at 5:30 p.m. and Yoga begins at 6:45 p.m. For more information, contact Eva Mudd at (574) 253-5593 or [email protected]. Patrons can join her Facebook group Eva’s Zumba and Yoga Community Classes.
For patrons with no internet access at home, the library help. The Bell Memorial Library is circulating an internet hotspot. These devices are about the size of a large cell phone and connect the user to the internet via cell phone towers. The device will circulate for a week and units can be reserved.
