PLYMOUTH — Laurie A. Hayn, 64, was flown to Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after she was run over by a combine. The mishap occurred in a cornfield south of 12447 Peach Road, around 3:13 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.
According to a release by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, when emergency personnel arrived it was discovered that Hayn was caught in a combine. She was conscious and responsive. Plymouth Fire Department and paramedics were able to extricate Hayn from the combine.
Hayn told police she went into the cornfield in an area she thought Ronald Hayn was not going to be, since he just went through there. The next thing she knew the combine was on top of her.
