Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:01 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, East Lakeside Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Richard L. Polston, 63, CR 127, New Paris. Polston told police he pulled his vehicle and trailer out of the Oakwood Resort parking lot and did not realize he had struck another vehicle until the owner of that vehicle caught up to him at a local restaurant. Damage up to $2,500.
6:39 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, East CR 1400N, west of North Eastshore Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Courtney J. Stoliker, 31, East Crooked Mile Road, Cromwell; Ryan J. McCollough, 17, County Road 37, Syracuse. Stoliker told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on CR 1400N when he approached McCollough, who was riding a moped. Stoliker said McCollough was signaling that he was going to turn left but that Stoliker thought he could pass the moped in time. Stoliker said his vehicle struck McCollough as McCollough was executing the turn. Damage up to $1,000.
Winona Lake
Officers from the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:54 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, Chestnut Street and 14th Street, Winona Lake. Michael D. Domingues, Chestnut Street, Winona Lake, told police his vehicle was damaged by another vehicle some time during the evening hours. Damage up to $2,500.
