Warsaw Man Faces Drug Charges
KOSCIUSKO — A Warsaw man is facing drug charges after a witness reported they saw a gun being handled inside a vehicle. The police responded and discovered drugs.
Brett Alan Reffitt, 29, 720 Wexford Plaza, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On Sept. 3, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a complaint in regards to someone handling a firearm in a vehicle. When the officer located the vehicle, he identified the driver as Reffitt.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Reffitt was holding a power drill and no gun was located. While the officer was talking with Reffitt, the officer observed a smoking device inside the vehicle. The officer then conducted a search of the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle, the officer located two smoking devices and a plastic bag containing methamphetamine.
Reffitt was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Sept. 3, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
