Milford Man Arrested For Battery
MILFORD — A Milford man was arrested after allegedly hitting a female, causing her to sustain a fractured rib.
Cory Michale Cole, 19, 602 W. Section St. 212, Milford, is being charged with battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and battery, a class B misdemeanor.
On Monday, Aug. 27, an officer with the Milford Police Department responded to a battery complaint. When the officer arrived, he spoke with a female subject, who said her dog was attacked by another dog owned by Cole.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, as she was trying to get Cole’s dog off of hers, Cole hit her on her face and rib cage, pushing her to the ground.
The female’s injuries were treated at Parkview Hospital and the doctor determined she had a fractured rib. The officer talked with Cole, who said he was just trying to keep the female from attacking his dog. Cole admitted he pushed the female to the ground but denied hitting her.
Cole was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Sept. 15, with a $2,750 surety and cash bond.
