Christopher J. Pezan — UPDATED
Christopher J. “Chris” Pezan, 23, Pierceton, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, as the result of an automobile accident near Pierceton. He was born Dec. 19, 1994, in Plymouth, to Kimberly L. Pezan.
He graduated in 2013 from Wawasee High School and was in a plumbing apprenticeship program at the Elkhart Career Center. He was a United States National Guard veteran. He was employed at Mr. Rooter in Milford for the past 1 ½ years as an apprentice and formerly worked at Menards in Warsaw. He formerly lived in Bremen, Florida, Warsaw and Syracuse before moving to Pierceton.
He was a member of the Young’s Long Shot Gun Club.
He is survived by his mother, his grandmother: Carol Pezan, Portage; an aunt and uncle, Angelic Pezan, Portage; Mike (Becky) Pezan, Portage; great aunts: Donna (Paul) Oldaker, Hobart; Susan (Bill) Lehman, Plymouth; LInda Law, Portage; cousin, Ashley Pezan; special parents: Mark (Tracy) Sumpter, Syracuse; special brothers: Josh and Jake Sumpster.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home. Graveside burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
