WARSAW — A gas leak has been reported on Center Street. 

Center Street is currently closed between Scott and Bronson streets. Market and Main streets between Scott and Bronson streets are also closed to reduce vehicle traffic that could cause an issue with the natural gas. Please avoid the area. 

Residents in the immediate area are being evacuated. The Pete Thorn Center, 800 N. Park Ave., is open to evacuees for shelter. 

NIPSCO is on site assessing the situation.
