North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, North Syracuse-Webster Road, west of North CR 700E, North Webster. Driver: Sharon D. Sitton. 20, Commercial Street, Roanoke. Sitton advised she misjudged a curve in the road, over-corrected and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle went off the roadway, down a ditch and ended up on its top in a corn field. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accidents:
2:41 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, Catholic Street and Third Street, Pierceton. Drivers: Luann B. Wiggs, 63, North CR 475E, Warsaw; and Mary A. Griepentrog, 59, PO Box 654, Pierceton. Wiggs advised she did not see Griepentrog’s vehicle approaching when she pulled out into the intersection. The vehicles collided. Damage up to $2,500.
1:57 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, Pierceton Road and Packerton Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Jonathan T. Henderson, 34, Pine Cone Lane, Warsaw; and Tina Rice, 55, East Prestwick Road, Winona Lake. Henderson was exiting a driveway in his vehicle and did not see Rice’s vehicle approaching. The vehicles collided. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:18 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, North Detroit Street, north of West Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Elmer Mazariegos-Escobar, 23, North CR 175E, Warsaw; and Jared M. Pritchard, Wildwood Drive, Syracuse. Mazariegoe-Escobar stated the vehicle in front of him stopped suddenly so he swerved to his right to avoid striking that vehicle. He advised he did not see Pritchard’s vehicle in the lane next to him. Mazariegoe-Escobar’s vehicle struck Pritchard’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:29 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, South CR 250E, south of East Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Craig A. Brosman, 32, South Packerton Road, Winona Lake; Taylor K. Goshert, 28, North Shagbark Drive, Warsaw; and Lisa R. Wallen, 58, East Wade Road, Warsaw. Brosman’s vehicle rear-ended Goshert’s vehicle, resulting in Goshert’s vehicle rear-ending Wallen’s vehicle. Goshert was stopped in the roadway, waiting on a school bus to let children off. Wallen advised she was the driver of the school bus and stated she had the flashing lights activated on the bus as well as the bus’ stop sign. There were no complaints of injuries from any of the occupants of any of the vehicles. Damage up to $10,000.
