TVHS Student Council Earns State Honor
AKRON — The Tippecanoe Valley High School Student Council has achieved the status of Gold Council by the Indiana Association of Student Councils.
The IASC’s Honor Council awards recognize student councils that provide quality service and leadership to their schools and to their communities. The Honor Council Award Program promotes the student councils that build and maintain quality records of their accomplishments and encourages self-review activities to pursue excellence as a council.
For the 2016-2018 school years, the state project was “Embracing Tolerance – Celebrating the Dignity of All.” The 2018-2020 project focus will be “It’s not about us, it’s about YOU!”
The TVHS Student Council will be honored at the state convention on Nov. 3, in Indianapolis. The mission of the IASC is to provide resources and coordinate programs that develop positive student leaders and advisers K-12 who promote a quality school and community environment.
