WARSAW — On Thursday, Sept. 6, the Warsaw Police Department received a counterfeit report from Walmart. Two suspects used approximately $1,100 worth of counterfeit $20 bills to make purchases at Walmart located in Warsaw. Walmart Loss Prevention staff informed officers the group of men were responsible for using counterfeit bills at additional Walmart’s located in Rochester, Plymouth, South Bend and Mishawaka.
On Sept. 6, officers were notified by the Wabash Police Department that they had the counterfeit suspects detained at the Wabash Walmart. Filmel Charles Williams Jr., 18, of Brownstown, Mich.; Titus Tyrerse Mundy, 19, of Inkster, Mich.; and Isaac Barnett Young, 19, of Novi, Mich. were transported from Wabash County and booked into the Kosciusko County jail on charges of counterfeiting, level 6 felony, and theft, a misdemeanor.
The Warsaw Police Department is requesting agencies contact the Detective Division, (574) 385-2211, if a business in your jurisdiction received counterfeit bills from the suspects listed above.
