Norma Rapp
Norma Rapp, 89, Milford, left this earth for her eternal home on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at her home. She was born on April 2, 1929, in Osceola to Kenneth and Ruth (Moser) Mason. On Feb. 24, 1951, she married Elmer Rapp in Milford; he preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2013.
As a young girl, she was an outstanding 4H member; at the age of 18, she won the St. Joseph County fashion review. She loved being outdoors. Gardening, growing apples, and raising farm animals were a few of her favorite pastimes. Most importantly, Norma valued her relationship with the Lord and she was very active in her church. She was a member of New Salem Church of the Brethren, where she was a deacon, taught Sunday school, and worked with Helping Hands.
She is survived by a son, Rick Rapp, Milford; a daughter, Cynthia (Doyle) Kolberg, Syracuse; and two grandchildren, Holly and Heidi Kolberg; three sisters, Mary J. Red, South Bend; Nancy K. Barrier, Savannah, Tenn.; and Nina Tom, Bremen; and four brothers: James (Nancy) Mason, Wakarusa; Richard (Donna) Mason, Osceola; and Roger (Stella) Mason and Warren (Martha) Mason, both of Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Ruth C. Labello and Betty Clipp; and two brothers, Gordon Mason and Charles Mason.
A private family service will be officiated by Reverend Tim Yoder and Pastor David Gross. Norma Rapp will be laid to rest in Milford Cemetery.
