WARSAW 169, MANCHESTER 191
Warsaw’s girls golf team posted a season-best score, and the Lady Tigers earned a win over Manchester in a dual meet at Stonehenge Thursday.
Madelyn Ray led the way, earning medalist honors with a personal best score of 39. Julia Hildebrand also posted her personal best score of 41. Izzy Ray shot 44, Miriam Hagg posted a 45, and Grayson Kilburn shot 47 for Warsaw in the team’s best score in four years.
Pacing Manchester was Kelsey Eichenaur with a 42, followed by Madyson Ulrey with a 47. Cora Barnett shot 50, Alissa Bickerstaff turned in a 52, and Morgan Stroud shot 60 for the Squires.
The Warsaw Junior Varsity also posted a season best score of 191, led by Marie Frazzetta’s 46. Delaney Byron shot 47, Sydney Lancaster shot 48, Anna Morgan carded 50, and Brooklyn Fitzgerald carded 58 for the JV.
The Lady Tigers move to 11-4 on the season as they head into the Northern Lakes Conference Tournament on Saturday at Black Squirrel Golf Course. Manchester slips to 8-2 and will play at the Three Rivers Conference Championships at Norwood Saturday.
WAWASEE 187, FREMONT 200
Needing a win for a winning season, Wawasee’s girls golf team came through with a solid effort at Maxwelton Thursday.
Belle Brunner fired a 43 for low medalist honors, and Jadison Rostochak carded 46. Tate Cowan shot 48, Lesley Tayagua shot 50, Ava Harker posted 51, and Taylor Cripe shot 54 as both teams fielded six players.
Leading Fremont was Jaden Cortoso with a 44. Halle Taner shot 50, Kelsea Harris shot 52, Sydney Koking carded 54, and Katie Baker and Mykayla Hoyer shot 59 and 63, respectively.
The Lady Warriors moved to 9-8 and will play in the NLC Tournament at Black Squirrel Saturday.
MACONAQUAH 193, NORTH MIAMI 244, TIPPECANOE VALLEY NS
Tippecanoe Valley competed in a three-way Three Rivers Conference meet at Peru Municipal Thursday evening.
Cheney Canada shot 61, and Sara Kelly carded 70 for Valley.
