Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 3987 S. SR 25, Warsaw. Driver: Elizabeth G. Prater, 18, North Buffalo Street, Burket. Prater was traveling north on SR 25 when her antilock brake sensors faulted. Her vehicle went off the roadway and came to a rest in a ditch. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:57 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 106 S. Front St., Syracuse. Driver: Amos M. Omari, 29, Bonneville Court, Raleigh, N.C. Omari was backing when he hit a south side gate with his semi trailer. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:03 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, SR 15, near East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Celia N. Islas, 32, Winchester Trail, Goshen; and Praharsh M. Veetil, 25, Kuder Lane Apartment 3212, Warsaw. Islas was traveling south on SR 15 when she entered a left turn lane at an intersection. As the light turned yellow, Islas began to make her turn and was struck by Veetil’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
4:25 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, North Sunset Drive, near Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Cheryl L. Alcalan, 57, Brubaker Street, Warsaw; and Larry Rocha, 57, West Porter Street, Warsaw. Alcalan was traveling north on Sunset Drive when she rear-ended Rocha’s vehicle, which was a school bus with 37 students aboard. No one was injured in the collision. Damage up to $2,500.
8:43 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, SR 15, north of Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michelle R. Moody, 47, West Main Street, Warsaw; and Philip M. Oest, 30, South High Street, Warsaw. Moody was traveling in the northbound lane of SR 15 when she rear-ended Oest’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
