NAPPANEE – The NorthWood Black Swish girls basketball program is offering free skills clinics at all three Wa-Nee elementary schools during the month of September.
Girls in grades 2-5 at Woodview, Nappanee and Wakarusa elementary schools should return forms to their main offices at their respective schools. There will also be a free clinic at NorthWood Middle School in October.
The clinic for the girls at Wakarusa Elementary will be Sept. 10, 11, and 13 with the fourth and fifth graders from 3-4:15 p.m. and the second and third graders 4:30-5:30 p.m.
For the girls at Nappanee Elementary the dates are Sept. 17, 18, and 20 with the fourth and fifth graders from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and the second and third graders 5-6 p.m.
For the girls at Woodview Elementary the dates are Sept. 24, 25, and 27 with the fourth and fifth graders from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and the second and third graders from 5-6 p.m.
The clinic for the sixth grade girls will be held October 1, 2, and 4. Because of fall sports using the gyms at the middle school after school, the sixth graders will have a supervised walk to the Wakarusa Elementary gym at 3:10 p.m. The clinic should begin by 3:30 p.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. Parents entering or picking up girls should use the east door at Wakarusa Elementary.
The clinics will be held in the gyms at the respective elementary schools. To enter and leave the clinics, parents and girls should use these doors: at Wakarusa, the east door; at Nappanee, door No. 5 east side; and Woodview, door No. 7 west side.
