Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
1:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, North SR 19, west of North CR 900W, Nappanee. Driver: Richard Mcvey, 44, Walter Way, Warsaw. Mcvey’s vehicle struck a tree that had fallen in the roadway. The vehicle sustained heavy front passenger-side damage but Mcvey was not injured. Damages up to $10,000.
8:49 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, SR 19, north of West CR 900S, Mentone. Driver: Mary Eckert, 64, Northcrest Lane, Claypool. Eckert’s vehicle collided with a deer. The deer “rolled” down the driver’s side of the vehicle, causing damage. Damages up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:03 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 600 N. Bowing Road, Warsaw. Driver: Thomas Pratt, 62, Washington Street, Bourbon. Pratt was backing up his vehicle out of the way of a delivery vehicle and struck a parked car owned by John Landis, Warsaw. Damages up to $5,000.
6:46 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, US 30 and Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Drivers: Roxanne Kline, 47, Iris Road, Plymouth; and Brian Foster, 57, Julian Drive, Warsaw. Kline was driving eastbound on US 30. She told officers that her body got really hot and she felt lightheaded. Kline claims she then “blacked out.” Her vehicle crossed the median and collided with Foster’s vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
