Warsaw Man Faces Drug Charges
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after being found with drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Anthony James Geib, 33, 3311 Oak Pointe Crossing, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony; possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Aug. 8 officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department received information that Geib had an active warrant arrest. Officers located Geib sitting in the driver seat of a brown Pontiac. Geib was arrested at that time. Officers observed two handgun magazines containing .40 caliber ammunition and a plastic container with two smoking devices in the vehicle. The smoking devices contained a white substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
While searching Geib, officers reported finding a container with multiple white and blue pills. The white pills were identified as hydrocodone, a schedule II narcotic drug. The blue pills were identified as clonazepam, a schedule IV controlled substance. Geib stated he did not have a prescription for the pills. He said the items in the plastic container belonged to him and he uses them to smoke methamphetamine.
Geib was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail Aug. 15 on a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
