Trojans Down Knox, North Judson
TIPPECANOE — Triton’s boys cross country team collected a pair of Hoosier North Athletic Conference wins over Knox and North Judson, while the Lady Trojans took an incomplete score with just three runners at the three-way meet at Potawatomi Park Thursday.
Triton’s boys put up an 18-point score to Knox’s 40, while Judson brought only two runners to the meet, Austin Kendrick and Cooper Hochstedler finishing first and second, respectively, for the Bluejays.
Russell Reichard and Brandon Kitch finished third and fourth, respectively, for the Trojans with times of 20:04 and 20:05. Josiah Page, Jesse Page and Breighton Treesh finished in order in sixth through eighth place with times of 21:07, 21:36 and 22:07.
Devon Toth set the pace for Knox’s boys with a 20:22 time for fifth place.
Pacing Triton in the girls race was Briana Wilhite with a 24:48 stop for third place. Makenna May clocked 25:51 for fifth, and Annie Hill placed eighth with a 27:29 time.
Lindsey Simpson broke the tape in 22:44 for Knox, which lost 20-39 to Judson’s girls. The Lady Jays’ Maddy Schumacher was second in 24:01.
Triton’s cross country teams run in the NorthWood Invitational Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
