Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:28 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, West US 30, west of Mile Marker #84, Warsaw. Driver: David P. Gilman, 60, West Ashton Avenue, Lima, OH. Gilman was traveling west on US 30 when he hit an unknown object in the roadway. When he pulled his vehicle to the north guardrail, Gilman ran down the length of the guardrail. Gilman did not complain of any injuries at the time of the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
2:24 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, North CR 650E, north of East CR 200N, Pierceton. Driver: Aaron S. Dyson, 49, North CR 150W, Wabash. Dyson was traveling north on CR 650E when he saw a CenturyLink van partially in the roadway. As he went to pass the vehicle, another vehicle was traveling southbound toward him. While moving over, the passenger side mirror of his vehicle struck the parked, unoccupied van. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:28 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Kimberly K. Vining, 50, North CR 875W, Etna Green; Kristen M. Dhaemers, 36, Stonegate Drive, Valparaiso. Vining told police she was backing her vehicle up in the McAlister’s Deli parking lot and observed Dhaemers’ vehicle approaching, but did not see the vehicle in her backup camera. Her vehicle struck Dhaemers’ vehicle, bumper to bumper. Damage up to $2,500.
3:11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, East Center Street and South Johnson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Abdallah Mehamli, 37, Denniston Street, Indianapolis; Jane E. Stichter, 56, Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Mehamli told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on Center Street and believed traffic, which had been stopped and backed unto Johnson Street, had begun moving again. He said his vehicle struck the rear of Stichter’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
