Ronald William Johnson
Ronald William Johnson, Argos, died at 2:47 p.m., Aug. 20, 2018, at the Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, where he had been in declining health.
On Jan. 2, 1946, in Argos, he was born to William J. Johnson and Pauline May (Humes) Johnson and had lived all of his life in the Argos, Tippecanoe, and Culver community’s.
On May 28, 2005, at the Argos United Methodist Church he married Janice Hildebrand and together they shared the past 13 years.
He worked for the Indiana State Highway Department, Rochester Branch for 35 years, retiring in 2006. He was a graduate of Triton High School with the class of 1964. He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1966 – 1968 during the Vietnam Conflict and he was a member of the FOE Eagles Lodge 852, Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Johnson, Argos; a son, Ronald Johnson (Shelley) Rochester; step-sons: Eric (Karen) Hansen, Michigan; Chris (Amber) Hansen, Wakarusa; Kevin Hansen, Bremen; five grandchildren; brother: Larry Johnson and friend Theresa, Rochester; sister, Terry Yeazel, Rochester. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Allan Yeazel.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m.-noon, Friday, Aug. 24, at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday.
Burial will follow at the Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe, with the James Lowell Corey American Legion Post #68, Argos, conducting Military Honors.
